I want to ask that all members of the community who are citizens of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and those who are members of Commonwealth States to remember those who have given their lives for their Country. I also wish to ask that all who are members of the Commonwealth, of France and Belgium, of Italy, of the Republic of Ireland and of the United States of America to remember today and on Wednesday (11th November 2009) those who gave their lives for their country in conflicts.
For those of you who are religious, as a fellow Christian, I ask that you pray for those who are currently away from their family members fighting in conflicts around the world. Please pray for their safety and for sound judgement. Please also pray for their families of these men and women.
I ask that you would pray for those who are mourning due to a bereavement, whether conflict related or whether it is due to sickness or accident. Please pray that they will feel a sense of comfort over them.
Finally I ask that you keep those from our community that we have lost close to your hearts.
Guys please make day fitting to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
