With the news of IW officially announcing that MW2 will not contain dedicated servers TacticalRealism.net is officially supporting a boycott of the upcoming release of MW2. There is only one way to show IW how displeased we are and that is by not purchasing this game. I hope that the TR community will join together with the rest of the CoD communities and show their support for this. This seems a feeble attempt by IW and Activision to destroy the style of gaming that we have enjoyed for years. This is essentially a dagger to the heart of not only tactical clans but to every clan/unit who was looking to support the upcoming release. I hope that everyone will assist us in spreading the word of this boycott. I will be posting a similar message on all affiliated units sites as well as those not affiliated. It would also help if teams would post a streaming message on their servers announcing, "PC Gamers Unite! Cancel your MW2 Pre-Order and Boycott the game!". This will help inform other players in the public. Its sad that this has come to this but its the only thing we can do to get out message heard.

IW has decided to do away with the Dedicated server system for MW2. They are going with the console match up system where you choose a game type and it throws you into a server. No more mods are custom maps... the 45th will be joining in this boycott.

I cannot speak for =BH=, we are a free to game as you please clan. Some will buy it but I'm sure that most will not. Without the maps and mods, without the competition as we have always known it, without the ability to control the interaction on our own servers, I see no point. I for one will not buy it unless something changes.

For anyone hoping that the petition will have some hope of changing IW's mind, It wont. Sorry to burst your bubble...

The only reason I signed the petition is so IW can see the number of people who signed and mulitply by $60.

wtf, add EF Division to the group that hates this.. Seriously, if they take away the servers then why even make the game multiplayer, they might aswell make it single player..That will save them time.. This is Total BS!
