I find this most fitting after the release of BFBC2

Quote:G4tv.com's Patrick Klepek is reporting that a "tense" situation is brewing at Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 developer Infinity Ward. Citing a "source close to the... developer", Patrick paints a picture of what could be going on between IW and publisher Activision Blizzard.

According to the story, "Infinity Ward studio heads Vince Zampella and Jason West reportedly met with Activision this morning and have not been seen by Infinity Ward staff members since."

Later in the day, non-uniformed "bouncers" arrived at Infinity Ward, but would not explain why they were there.

No official word has been released by either company at this time, but we'll keep you updated with any developments.

Update: Earlier today, Activision filed an SEC report that mentioned Activision looking into "breaches of contract and insubordination by two senior employees at Infinity Ward." The filing also states that "this matter is expected to involve the departure of key personnel and litigation."

Additionally, a post on Facebook by Jason West, confirmed to be legitimate, mentions being newly unemployed. West has also updated his LinkedIn profile with a March 2010 end-date for his position at IW.

Lots of rumors flying at the moment.

After what they did with MW2, they deserve it.
Curious to see how much further Activision will bastardize the title.
"high-margin digital online content"

Hai2U World of CoDCraft....
Maybe the IW guys were getting mad at Activision for possibly making them go to a WoW style future of online games, and were trying to find a different publisher who wouldn't make them have to do that, and Activision got mad and fired the top IW guys.

You never know.
Any cod beyond 2 was a step in the wrong direction in my opinion. Even CoD2 went backwards from UO but was equally the same as CoD1. For me, perks were just a breeding ground for the console. Once you have that the series is in a downward spiral going no where fast.
"Wow" pretty much sums it up.

To think this all has to do with a bit of butthurt. Insanity.
I heard Activision was talking of adding a third CoD studio anyway so most likely it is a pissing match for developer territory. It wouldn't surprise me to see a biannual CoD title here in the near future.
